Welcome to An Aquatic Source -- A Beginner's
Guide to Aquatics! If this is your first visit please take
a moment to read this introductory statement. If this is not
your first visit go ahead and click on a link at the left to
go where you want to go.
Being an Aquarist, which is the title given
to anyone involved in the aquarium and fish keeping hobby,
can be a wonderful
experience. Yet, it can also be difficult. The thing you have
to remember is that you are attempting to recreate one of nature's
great miracles in a relatively small space. But, with a little
experience you'll easily understand aquatics and fish.
Don't give up if you run into a little trouble, we all go through
it at the start just remain diligent and keep trying. I promise
with a little effort you'll be an experienced Aquarist in no
time at all.
This hobby is all about decisions as you'll
be faced with them at every turn. You must realize that what
someone else
does might not necessarily work for you and visa versa. Take
everything with a grain of salt. Listen to other people's
advice but make up your own mind. Keep an open mind to other
people's
experiences because they may help you avoid trouble in the
future, but do not be angry if their advice doesn't work. Learn
the basics and then trust your own judgment.
Hopefully this site will do what it is intended
to do; help you. I will admit that you may not agree with
my opinions and
the knowledge I have acquired over the years and that's okay.
But, I put it here for you to browse through and hopefully
it will answer some of your questions.
As always, if you have additional questions
that aren't answered by this site's info please use the help
section, specifically
the Q&A Database. This section was designed to offer more
immediate attention to your problems.
Keep an eye out for the "quick tip" info
box as seen below. It will give you little hints and tips as
you move
through the pages of this site. |
